How to Schedule a Free Lesson for Your Child

Recently, we have launched a new, improved version of Nabi Music that makes signing up for music lessons easier than ever! Here we will guide you step-by-step, although if you check for yourself you’ll see the website is user-friendly, and the whole process is simple and smooth.

1. Register

As always, to navigate our website, book a new lesson, and search for a tutor, you have to register first. The same applies if you are a music instructor applying for new teaching jobs. Nowadays, there are plenty of opportunities, as many people decide to make good use of their indoor time and try and learn a new skill. At the same time, we have already explained why so many American families are turning toward homeschooling programs, and music is the perfect compliment no matter the age of their children.

“Safety first” is every parent’s concern, and also ours! Therefore, because of safety reasons, you can only create an account on Nabi Music if you are 18 or older, so teens that are eager to learning music should talk to their parents first and ask them to create an account for them.

Another safety measure we take, so no one can use your data for signing up on your behalf, is simple telephone verification. That is why we request a phone number in addition to an email account. You can sign up with a telephone number from anywhere in the world! You’ll find a little flag and you can pick your country of residence if you currently live outside the USA. In any case, in a matter of seconds, you’ll receive a simple text message with a code you need to enter to complete your registration.

2. Add student info

Once you have signed up on our website, you have created your own Family’s Studio! In there, you can book future music lessons for a single child or many children, even for yourself if you are thinking about taking music lessons as an adult (why wouldn’t you?)

Adding your children to the Family Studio is really simple. The screen titled “Who is learning?” asks you to complete only a few simple data: name of the student (it can be a nickname if it’s for your child, for instance, “May”, “Sam”, “Dave”…), date of birth, the instrument of choice, and level. Remember that the instruments you see on the screen are the most popular choices among our users, but you can select from a list of over 60 other instruments if you click on “other”.

As for the level, if you are unsure whether you should list your child as a beginner or as an intermediate (for example, if they already took some music lessons in the past, but they want to switch their instrument), always opt for the lowest of the two. The instructor is a professional who will easily figure out whether they have to upgrade their lessons in case the child is more advanced or learns faster than you thought!

3. Set date/time for lesson

Now it is time for booking lessons. On the next screen, you can already book the trial lesson on your day and time of choice! Keep in mind the timezone corresponds to Eastern Standard. You won’t be receiving individual applications as in our previous version. Here at Nabi Music, we’ll select a tutor that fits your needs and can teach the lesson at the requested schedule, and that is IT! The confirmation screen will tell you that your child’s name is already scheduled, the date & time, how long the lesson will last, the instrument, and a reminder that the instructor’s details will be provided upon confirmation. Could it be simpler?

That’s pretty much all you need to know if you want to sign up for a single child. If you only need to book a single lesson, press “continue”. There is no need to describe further details, such as previous experience with another instrument or such. You can always talk to the selected instructor when the time comes for the scheduled lesson.

But you also have the chance to book further lessons for more children if that’s your case. It will all be set in your Family’s Studio! Once you access that page, you’ll get to see all the scheduled lessons for each of your children. It is convenient for organizing your week and never missing a lesson because you forgot about it!

In a few words, Nabi Music is a highly convenient, user-friendly platform that offers you more than just a list of music instructors. By joining Nabi Music and signing up for your trial lesson, you become part of a huge community of music lovers!

How about signing up as an instructor?

If you are a musician and you want to find teaching jobs, Nabi Music offers a great opportunity you shouldn’t miss. You can easily sign up by providing some basic information, but keep in mind the more complete your profile is, the more appealing it will be for your potential students and their parents. For instance, instead of constraining to a single profile photo, you can upload a video profile (from 30 to 60 seconds long) in which you introduce yourself. You can also upload other videos of you playing your instrument(s) of choice.

In your bio, you fill in your title (for instance, “native Spanish flamenco guitar teacher”), and below, you have up to 1000 characters to fill in with your experience. Try to make it as concise and clear as possible! Don’t waste much space sharing your degrees and diplomas, since there are other specific pages for that. Last but not least, it is highly recommended that you provide references and a background check, to create confidence with your students.
